This course is designed to help students develop the communication skills needed for success in their secondary school academic programs and in their daily lives. Students will develop critical and creative thinking skills as they analyse literary texts from contemporary and historical periods; interpret the ideas, information, and messages in informational and media texts; and create texts in a variety of forms. An important emphasis throughout the course is on strategies that contribute to clear, correct, and effective communication.- Prerequisite: None

This course is designed to help students extend their knowledge of the communication skills needed for success in secondary school academic programs and in their daily lives.
